Ok, I've decided to improve my reaction time because I'm always being called slow. I don't acctually hate it because there are benefits of being slower, like I'll be given less tasks...LOL.
However, I still have to admit that being slow is not something to be proud of.
So I looked up Youtube and saw this video on Improving Your Reaction Time.
I've decided to start a "Challenge" or maybe it's more like an experiment. I'll be doing the exercise whereby you throw a ball against the wall and then catch it with the other hand.
This of course also help improve hand-eye coordination which I needed very much too... I can't coordinate for nuts!!
I plan to do it daily for at least a week (maybe more). I'd do 10 catches (not consecutive) and then add more or add difficulty when needed (like consecutive catches). I've actually tried today with a ping pong ball (I don't have a tennis ball at home and I don't plan to buy one) and its way harder than I thought. I couldn't even do more than 3 consecutive catches. (Can this be consider good for someone who hasn't been exercising for years?)
So yeah, by the end of the 7 days, I'd like to be able to do at least 10 consecutive catches. This number would of course be up if I could achieve this before the 7th day.
Wish me good luck.
That's great challenge, my friend!
ReplyDeleteSure you can do it!

Thank you, Albert!
DeleteThis is really motivating!!
You may not see great improvement after this though it will help. The second practice in the video might help with what you wish better
ReplyDeleteYou're probably right, but I see it'll be better to start small then move up :)
