Got scammed again ...well kinda ...

 

Never think you're too smart or know better. I never expected myself to get scammed in this way.

It all started with mum trying to buy something from a website she claimed to have bought a few times from. 

She did made a few Cash on Delivery (COD) purchases previously and I see her being happy with her purchases. So I thought it's a website her friends had introduced to her. But apparently, she discovered the site from Facebook Ads. (Yes, I only get to know it later. By the way the site is sg.islowly-shop.com)

Anyways, I thought "what could go wrong with COD? I can just reject and refuse to pay!" But then there is a catch ... but more about it later.

While checking out, my mum saw that there is a discount of $3 when paying with Credit card! She thought it's a nice idea since any discount is good discount! I asked her if she really thought the site is safe and if it's legit. She told me, she bought a few times already, so it must be safe. I got lazy, only did a quick online search and found no scam alert reviews! (Ok, my bad!)

Paid... then realised that ... My mum made a mistake! She choose the wrong size! Ask for cancellation and refund. The customer service was dead slow but eventually cancelled the order and promised a refund within a week.

Well, take note of this ... It happened on the 15th of August.I actually felt something is wrong, I just have this bad feeling about it but I was still kinda in denial (coz i know it's impossible to get the money back). So I left a message with DBS (my bank) and they quite quickly responded saying that money is already claimed! GG!

Anyways, out of frustration, I emailed the Customer Service again on 18th of August, and they just told me refund is already made, I need to give the bank more time to process! (Yah, I believe you, I am stupid lo!)

They really enjoy their delay tactics ... probably thinking that most people won't be so free or will just forget about it... but I emailed them again on the 29th August. This time is just for trolling... I already know my money is gone on the 14th but I refuse to let them have it easy! (Spiteful, I know!)

I obviously checked my bank account and there is no refund! So yeah, kena scammed! Anyways, remember this website islowly-shop.com. They already said they IS LOW(ly), I don't know why I didn't get that warning.

Anyways, back to the point I mentioned above ... COD = safe? Not really! 

Because they will send it via J&T whose policy is, once opened, no exchange or refund! 
And the delivery person will not let you hold it, fearing that you just close the door without paying.

The thing is, the package is sealed, no way of telling what is inside, you can only judge by the size and weight of the parcel. 

We did received 1 defective out of the 4 items we ordered, but since we already opened the parcel, NO EXCHANGE OR REFUND! The delivery guy also just a 3rd party, we scream at him also no point. You think we can get a refund or exchange? You see my email with them above, you think can get anything? Just delay tactics and template answers lo!

So don't be fooled by Cash on Delivery, thinking it will be safer, it's not safe if the website is lowly, ok? Buy from Shopee or Shein better!
